New premises: connection of time and art
Glycine celebrated its new premises in the former industrial building at Eckweg 8 in Biel/Bienne.
"I always wished to work in premises where the smell of big machines is still in the air", says Glycine's CEO Katherina Brechbühler. She and her team of Glycine are happy about the new premises - and also about the gift of the artist Gianni Vasari: he decorated the new premises of the company with his colourful art. Be it in the stairway, in the meeting room or in the corridor, on walls or tables, everywhere you will find pictures and sculptures held in the strong colours of Vasari. "For me the connection of watches and art is important", says Katherina Brechbuehler. The pictures and sculptures create an atmosphere, in which you can work pleasantly. "Watches are not everything, even in a watch company", she says. "One can present a beautiful watch much better in an environment, where there are not only watches."
Preparations for Baselworld
Since many years Glycine and Gianni Vasari cooperate: Since more than ten years the artist from Biel enlivens the booth of Glycine at Baselworld. He will also do so at Baselworld 2005, taking place from 31st of march till 7th of april.
At this moment, the Glycine team has little time left to enjoy Gianni Vasaris work of art: They are in the middle of their preparations for Basel. Glycine will be outstanding again by their very special novelties - and by the artistic form given to the booth by Gianni Vasari.
